Transitional Plaid

This is a look that has quickly become one of my faves! This scalloped skirt has proven to be very versatile and a great buy- check out how I'm wearing it into the Fall season! This plaid is a little Christmasy, but tying it at the waist gave it a look more appropriate for September/October. Now just imagine a pumpkin spiced latte in my hand and this whole look would be picture perfect :)

P.S. - The elbow patches are so cute. They give the shirt an added flair, and dare I say, old-school look!

Pink Panther

Hey all! Dressing for this rollercoaster Bay Area weather has been a challenge, to say the least. September is ALWAYS like that. A heat wave stretch, then fog, some record breaking temps, and then maybe a little rain by the end of the month. The quick changes in the forecast usually result in me getting sick- my body can't handle the drastic changes in temps.

I am looking forward to October. The crisp air. Pumpkin patches. Lattes. HALLOWEEN. I'm sure I sound like a broken record (and like everyone else), but October, November, December are my favorite months hands down! I'm also looking forward to bringing some of my coats out from the back of my closet.

Lust List: Blanket Scarves

Blanket Scarf

Thankfully, the blanket scarf trend is in full force... I collected quite a few of these over the last 2 seasons and this makes me SO HAPPY. I love to just wrap up in these on the couch, and then style it over my outfit to go run errands or head out to work. With so many styles and colors, you are sure to find a blanket scarf to carry you through the brutal winter months! I was pleasantly surprised to find AMAZING blanket scarves at Forever 21 for about $10. The patterns were beautiful, and most importantly, they were SOFT. Honestly, a much better deal and better quality scarf than the Zara ones from last year...

Wedding Season

Recently, I was browsing Promtimes.Co.Uk and I wanted to share with you all my top 3 looks! The dresses are stunning, affordable- and good for ANY special occasion. Wedding season has been on my mind, so I gathered these very different looks perfect for any potential bride....

I love the gathering at the bodice! This dress certainly gives me mermaid vibes- a style I've seen in countless magazines and on runways as of late. The gorgeous sweetheart neckline is flattering for all. The gathered side is perfect for hiding any imperfections on a day when a LOT of pictures will be taken. Feel free to have cake!

How dreamy is the bodice on the above dress? This is a very classy and timeless look. The beaded detailing is super romantic- it's a dress you can wear and looking back, your photos will never be dated! I think an up-do is perfect for a dress with detailing close to the neckline like this one.

This third look really stood out to me. I love the high-neckline. It's very chic, romantic, and unique. The lace is done in beautiful detail as well. This is a style I have yet to see at any of the weddings I've been to, but it is certainly stunning and a memorable look. She seriously looks like a Disney princess!

Well, wedding season is still going strong with Napa wineries and SF waterfront hotels booked up to celebrate nuptials. I've attended a few wedding this past summer, and noticed the dresses are a lot more understated than what I've seen in season's past, and I am FEELING THE LOOK. I rounded up a few looks that are Pinterest-worthy from ! Check them out. I also saw some cute gowns for formals, bridesmaids, and prom. It's never too early to shop for these special occasions.. to ensure you have the perfect look! They have pages and pages of drool worthy gowns- make sure you set enough time to find the dress of your dreams!!

Thank you to Promtimes.Co.Uk for sponsoring this post.

The Best LBD To Date

Let's get something out of the way first. I know the dress string is hanging from outside of my dress. Story of my life. I'm very curious why those even exist. No one I know uses those little satin strings to hang their clothes on a hanger. If anything, they are just a nuisance and I'm constantly having to tuck them in. Back to snipping them off....

ANYWAY. This is a look good for work or even a night out to dinner. I LOVE wearing all black. It'a just a habit of mine. Black clothes and nude lipstick. I went a little out-of-the-box by pairing this swing dress with a red lip though instead. Also... if you couldn't tell by some of my previous posts, I LOVE THESE SHOES. They are dupes for the iconic rockstuds, but in my opinion, a little more comfortable. I really thought the Valentino Rockstud trend would die out, but now I think they're here to stay. I have a black/tan pair... but all of my other studded shoes have been dupes from BCBG, Halogen, etc. It's such a fun look, and a way to bring just a hint of edge to any outfit!

Fog City

There are pros and cons to shooting in the fog. First off, atleast for me, shooting pictures in the sun is the WORST and I'm mostly free to snap pics around noon. That means dealing with shadows and being washed out, etc. For that reason alone, I cherish the cloudy days in SF. The skies are generally bright enough to see me/the clothes clearly, and there are no shadows cast on my face/the items. Today, however, was more than I bargained for! I'm shocked these pictures came out. There was a thick layer of fog between me and the lens. Plus, the drizzle was getting all over me and the camera! I kind of like the hazy effect in the background though. While challenging, shooting in the fog is something I would definitely do again.

The Brightest Blue Hue

This top is just the prettiest blue! It's perfect for layering, and I cannot wait to pair it with slacks when the weather cools down. I'm also switching up how I wear my accessories. I'm more into layering pieces now. Three different lengths of necklaces (check out Charming Charlie's... they list their necklaces by length so you'll always come out with the perfect layers!) and stacked rings.

Earth Tones

And here it is... the first "Fall" outfit of the season! While the temps will heat up here and there in the Bay Area, I thought of a way to incorporate clothes for fairly warm weather but with a Fall twist. This dress is in olive green (actually kind of hard to find in dresses...) and I just paired it with some Tory Burch boots from last season. I'm excited to wear all of my Fall clothes from last year in new ways.

Meantime, I've been making a lot of smoothies lately for breakfast, and like to do meal prep for the week since I've been so busy lately. Is this something I should feature on the blog? Let me know if you guys want recipes here & there! I'd love to share.

Stripes With Red Pops

You've been warned! A lot of striped outfits coming your way on my blog... I've been inspired by stripes lately, and as a result... I'm incorporating them into all sorts of looks. Business casual, sporty, dressy- you name it.

I used to really avoid striped at all costs. For one, stripes are downright unflattering at times. I now figure that thinnest stripes are the most flattering for curvy silhouettes, and I like when there is more black than white in the balance of color. How do you wear your stripes? I'd love to know!

Loving Leopard

This outfit may or may not look like pajamas, but I'm okay with that. These pants debuted last summer, and I like to wear them from time to time because I always dress them up so they don't look too much like lounge pants. I'm also seriously drawn to anything leopard print. I wore this outfit to eat fondue... and you want to be wearing something roomy and comfy when you're grubbing on melted cheese and bread! Trust me.
