Hey everyone! It's been awhile, but I wanted to take some time to share with you an AMAZING discovery. I love trying out new products, but I'm usually disappointed and unsatisfied with their claims. I actually think that my body is just resistant to new products, and nothing can change the condition of my hair/skin/nails/weight like it claims.
That all changed today when on a whim, I tried Amla Powder. Also known as dried and powdered Indian Gooseberry, its been used for thousands of years for hair and skin benefits. Many folks use it to strengthen their hair, add shine, or volume. I used it specifically after reading that it eliminates dandruff. I've been cursed with dry flakes since forever (just found out I was born w/ cradle cap... thanks mom!), and its been with me ever since. I originally read that Amla Powder nixes the flakes almost instantly-- unlike dandruff shampoos and other remedies such as apple cider vinegar.
Here's what I did: made a paste/hair mask with equal parts water and Amla Powder. After my normal shampoo and conditioner use, I applied the mask, focusing mainly on the scalp. You may yield better results if you properly part your hair and REALLY get at the scalp... but I rushed through it since I didn't even believe its magical claims. After 10-15 minutes, I rinsed my hair, let it air dry. After combing through, I couldn't find any flakes! This is the FIRST time I got instant results from a product and it did exactly what it claimed! I will keep you all posted on if it continues to work...or if it loses its effectiveness. So far so good! You can pick up Amla Powder at any Indian grocery store or from Amazon!
