Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Reviews Part 2

And the clock is winding down on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (#NSale), and I wanted to review a few more of my items so you can snag these items for Fall before the prices go back up. There are hits AND misses... see below! These were all taken on my iPhone via mirror selfie, so sorry quality isn't amazing :/

Lush Tunic: I tucked this top in to pair with this skirt, but it is long- enough to cover you up if you're wearing leggings. Consider this a go-to shirt for me once the temps drop! I think it would look perfect with jeans, leggings, or even tucked into a pencil skirt. Sleeves can be worn tabbed or long. Comes in a variety of colors. At under $30, I am calling this a steal! I think it looks dressy despite being uber comfortable.

TopShop Scallop Skirt: Not officially part of the #NSale, but it was too cute to pass up. It has an elastic waist, but TopShop tends to run small so it wouldn't hurt to size up. Also comes in black- which I'm contemplating for Fall! The scallop details give it a little extra somethin-somethin.

Sam Edelman D'Orsay Pumps: I cherish these heels. At 2.5", they are legitimately comfortable to walk in and give me just the right amount of arch. Leopard print is a neutral in my book and I've worn these shoes almost daily since they've arrived! You won't regret this purchase. Other colors are available if print isn't up your alley.

Lush Tunic: See above. A keeper. Definitely works with a variety of outfits!

Kendra Scott Necklace: Obviously you've seen these on every blogger, and I don't see them going away anytime soon. The necklace is heavy in a sturdy and unbreakable way- the length is adjustable. Plus it features a little tassel which is super on trend. ALSO, I've never really seen this necklace on sale before so grab it up! I've had mine forever and it holds up well.

Kendra Scott Earrings: They match the necklace and will go with dozens of outfits. They are not at all heavy or uncomfortable. Another item that's super popular but rarely goes on sale.

Michael Kors Watch: Also not going anywhere anytime soon. What can I say? It's timeless and well made and will last you for years. People jump to buy these watches for full price, so might as well get it on sale. It's also shockingly lightweight! I lowkey want the black one but I'm afraid it won't go with as many outfits as the classic gold.

Blanket Cardigan: I'm sorry, but this cardigan was a NO. The fit was weird, which is unusual for this type of cardigan. It was really short and tight in the arms and shoulders (btw I have short arms...), and it was SUPER short in the back. Like it went to the middle of my back. What? It had a ton of potential online, but this is an item that won't see the light of day. Thank goodness for the Nordstrom Return policy!

Stuart Weitzman Boots: YAAAASSSS. That's all I can say about these boots. I was surprised that such a popular item was included in the #NSale. These boots fit snug against your calves, and make any outfit look amazing. While many times I wear them with leggings or skinny jeans, they are equally flattering with a mini-skirt! Trust me, these will be on repeat during Fall and Winter. While pricey, you will get your money's worth. Heads up though, they can be a little difficult to slip on and off. I guarantee your socks will come off with the boot.

Zella Leggings: These are HIGH quality leggings, which are definitely worth their weight in gold. We are too cool now for the thin see-through leggings that debuted a decade ago. They are completely opaque, durable, and flattering. If you wear any leggings as actual pants, make sure it's this pair.

BP. V-Neck Sweater: Usually, I am obsessed with the BP brand @ Nordstrom. It's pretty high quality and one of the lower price-point brands. I'm kind of on the fence about this sweater. It's super thin (not necessarily saying it's a bad thing), but I wish it was... longer? It is extremely soft though, and I do like the stripe pattern. This is an item I could go either way on though, to be honest. Good thing it's pretty cheap!

Shoutout to Zazie making an appearance on mommy's fashion blog.

Tory Burch Crossbody: Oh how I wanted to love you. This bag is darling and can be worn both as a crossbody and on the shoulder with a strap that is adjustable. The color is blush and I can't wait to wear it with winter white. However, because it's pretty flat and doesn't have any width or depth to it, it doesn't hold a lot. To add insult to injury, the bag also has no top closure-- no magnet, the zipper, NADA. Otherwise, it is beautiful. Comes in Oak, Camel, and Black.

Halogen Pointy Flats: In my opinion, the most rewarding part of the #NSale involved the shoes. I am in no way disappointed with their shoes, and these Halogen flats are no exception. I have the blush pair, and they are definitely Valentino inspired. I bought these way before the sale (unfortunately!) and they still look pristine and can really go the distance. Check out the different colors and patterns they come in!

Pleione Faux Wrap Top: I've had my eye on this top since way before the sale. It's classy, a beautiful chiffon, and it has a center clasp to keep you buttoned up. It comes in both long/short sleeve versions and solid/patterns. This is a classic and would look amazing under a blazer.

AND that wraps up my review of the items that came in the mail. A few more pieces are on the way. What did you pick up at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? Let me know in the comments!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Reviews

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is winding down, and a lot of things are already out of stock! So hurry up but keep checking because random sizes DO pop-up occasionally.

I am reviewing some items I picked up in terms of fit, price point, and other info I think you all should know before you hit the sale before it's gone!

Vince Camuto Blouse: The color is radiant! One detail that wasn't immediately obvious to me was the ruffled hem. It actually looks better untucked than to try and bunch that all in to a pencil skirt. Fit was loose, but flattering. Looks good paired with either a fit & flare skirt or cigarette pants. Definitely pick this one up!

Sam Edelman D'Orsay Pumps: Maybe I'm in the minority, but I personally find it hard to find a classy pair of leopard pumps. A lot of offerings look cheap. I loooove the d'orsay style because it shows more of your foot and doesn't look clunky, and these pumps have a 2.5" heel which is perfect for walking a ton or commuting on public transit.

Halogen Zip Flared Skirt: This mini flares out without looking overwhelming on the body. I think it is CERTAINLY worth the price. Halogen brand is usually the most affordable line @ Nordstrom with exceptional quality!

Tory Burch Crossbody: Okay, this bag was seriously cute and I am FEELING the crossbody style, plus you also have the ability to double up on the chain and wear it on your shoulder. HOWEVER, the inside is super small. I had room only for a continental wallet, my phone, and a few lipsticks. The color, however, is marvelous and it also comes in black and a beautiful camel color which is great for Fall.

Cold Shoulder Dress: This is not officially part of the sale, but given the quality and versatility, it ended up in my cart. The embroidery detailing is seriously everything. The material feels great in the heat- I'm going to use it as a cover-up if I make my way down to Capitola sometime this summer. It's billowy and true to size.

Eliza J Faux Wrap Dress: Hmmm... the jury is out on this one. The material is SUPER heavy, which I imagine is great for when the weather cools down, but there is no way I'm wearing this dress in the next 3 months. It's really nothing exceptional but the color is beautiful and you can find multiple colors.

Sam Edelman D'Orsay Pumps: See above for details. Still holding up! Love these.

Wear to Work: Perfect Blue Sheath Dress

I have been essentially dreaming of this dress for YEARS. I always wanted to find a sheath dress, 3/4 sleeves, and in a beautiful cobalt blue. So naturally, I snatched this up the second I saw it right before my eyes! Best part? It's only $12!!!! Unfortunately, I couldn't find it online, but it's at H&M so walk don't run! It runs pretty small... so make sure to size up if you can get your hands on it!

P.S. Here are some similar looks and styles at various price points that may float your boat!

Surf & Safari

I'm sorry, but how cute is this!!! This elephant dress would be perfect to throw in your carry-on for vacation, but I feel like I made it a little 90's with this jean jacket. Also... can't get enough of these wedge sandals! I've embarrassed by how many times I've worn this dress, and folks keep saying, "oh! the elephant dress!!". So it's definitely fun and a conversation starter,

P.S. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ends soon! Prices go back up on August 3rd, so shop it before it's gone! I've added a few other items I'm crushing on from the sale. A lot of these are winter and fall favorites so get on it!!

Cherry Picking

So I've found myself actually wearing a lot of red, white, and blue this month... even after the 4th of July! It's just such a crisp and summery color combination that I can't get enough of. After these pics were taken, I grabbed some tacos at Tacolicious in SF. Have any of you been? They have really interesting selections, including a brisket taco and an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G chicken mole taco. 2 tacos are more than enough for one especially when you factor in their killer chips and salsa!

Blue Palms

Hey all... this tank again! It's reversible, so I've been alternating between the palm print and the cobalt blue on the other side. I love how these tanks travel well, and don't wrinkle one bit. It's hot some days, and cool and foggy others here in the Bay Area. Hopefully, July will be a little more consistent!

Another day, another look featuring neutrals. I definitely have found my niche this season. All about basics and pieces that mix and match beautifully together.

During the summer, I daydream about tropical getaways and a never-ending vacation. Reality however, keeps it just that... a DREAM. I came across this comprehensive list of every tiki bar in the Bay Area to get your island fix. From tropical cocktails, to fresh poke, to polynesian dancers... consider this your Friday night vacation:

Stripes At Bay

Showing another way in which basics can go oh-so-right. This is just a plain black skirt, striped tee, and my trusty sandal/heels. I had this crazy cold/illness/bug that was going around and I was sick in bed for awhile! It's been quite some time since something has put me out like this. I decided to put on clothes and be a regular person (on my way to eat ramen to make my throat feel better), and ended up with this look. Do you guys have any tried and true remedies to beat a sickness? I've been living on orange juice, pho, ramen, chicken noodle soup, and about a pack of cough drops a day.

Stay healthy everyone!

The Wanted List: Rompers

Rompers by EK featuring jumpsuits & rompers

So happy it's romper season!!! I swear, I never knew how versatile a romper could be. Perfect for the beach, date night, or even a wedding... there are just too many styles. I have a denim romper like the one on the top right and it's just too cute. I'm craving a silk one just like the one on the bottom right for a night out, and the floral ones are so fun to look at!
